TAR 2022: Turnaround at INOVYN, Rafnes

SPOT AS was the main contractor during the turnaround at INOVYN’s chlorine plants at Rafnes – a complex project with high activity and multiple disciplines involved over a short period.

In connection with TAR 2022, SPOT AS was selected as the main contractor for maintenance work during the turnaround at INOVYN’s chlorine plants at the Rafnes Industrial Site.

The project demanded extensive planning, coordination, and precision. The planning phase ran from December 2021 to March 2022, while execution took place from March 14 to April 7, 2022.

The scope of delivery included:

  • Project management and execution

  • Mechanical work, piping, and welding

  • NDT, fire watch, and confined space watch

  • Insulation, painting, and valve work

  • Crane operations, transport, and rigging

  • Cleaning and coordination of plastic piping and electrical/automation systems

  • Piping dimensions: DN15–DN1000 in 316L and carbon steel
